April 2018 || Free 52

I'm somewhat in disbelief that April is over! Our May and beginning of June is pretty much booked solid, so basically I already feel like it's summer. Alas, it is not. But here is what we've been up to in April! Baby cows, baby chickens, LOTS of tulips, and a preview of a super refreshing shoot just for me! Scroll through to check it all out, along with some commentary. Then follow our circle to see some other talented freelensing ladies!

First up, spring break! We spent the week in rainy Seattle (our home last year) It was so nice to visit all of our favorite places...however.......it rained. A lot. So freelensing was minimal. I did however get these cute baby cows when I travelled out to North Bend and Tollgate Farms Park for some images I used for a double exposure project. Who doesn't love spunky baby cows??

At the end of spring break week, we made our way home to a little sun. So I took the opportunity to take the kiddos up to Holland America's tulip farms in the next town up from us! Easter photos is a yearly tradition that often takes place in the seasonal tulips! After getting 'the shot' of them together, I played with some freelensing. And you know, I had my daughter twirl and I bribed my kids with bubble guns to get the photos, so there is some of that too.

Originally, we had considered tacking a trip to grandma's on to spring break. But ultimately, I just had no more in me to manage one more 'thing' to do. Kids felt the same, however, the following weekend we visited grandma. We saw baby chicks, fed the neighbor horses some carrots, visited with cousins and stopped at my fave place in the spring on the way home, Skagit Valley Tulip Festival!! So you better bet I freelensed there too!

This final share of freelensed images was just for me, and it's only a preview!! I've been feeling the slump big time. I've only brought my camera out for the obvious situations the last few months. Daily shooting and creative shooting has felt so very forced as of late. But I gathered the courage to mix my creative photography life with my real world neighborhood friends life. I messaged a few lady friends and asked if any of them would be up for a photo shoot wearing their own dresses or a skirt that I pieced together. Amazingly enough, most of them were up for it! We had a PERFECT evening with sunflare and wind and I felt the creative itch return and left feeling so energized to pick my camera up more often willingly! I'd like to reserve a dedicated blog post to these lovely ladies, but I freelensed a lot, so I will give you a preview of this next post!!

HOORAY!! You've made it to the end of this month's share!! Please travel on to April to see her freelensing this month!
